If you need any convincing that it's time to amp up your Social Media efforts, this is it.

With the holidays right around the corner, it is absolutely crucial that you implement a social strategy. 24.3% of all US retail ecommerce sales in 2012 will occur over the holiday season, and you won't want to miss out on any of the action. If you're hoping to boost sales this season, here are a few key facts to keep in mind:

Halloween is the new Thanksgiving.

What does this mean? The day after Thanksgiving (November 25) used to be the official start of holiday shopping. Now, shoppers are getting started as early as November 1. More info here.

Go Mobile.

If your website can't be easily accessed from a mobile phone and tablet, then you're surely losing out on sales. More info here

Be Responsive.

What's the point in putting all your time and effort in Social Media if you don't respond to questions and comments? "Recent studies have found that when brands do respond to customers, it’s overwhelmingly positive. More than 80% of those who made complaints on Twitter and received a response from a company said they "loved" or "liked" it, with 74% of them satisfied with the response." More info here.
